A Glittercure!

Hey Girls,

So I decided to do a twist on the traditional french manicure and use a glitter polish instead! I used Accessorize Illusion nail polish in 'Molten Copper'.

I think it's very christmassy! I think it would also look nice with red or green glitter polish, maybe I'll do that next!

Do you like these nails?

Pinky Promise

Hey Everyone,

So I felt like painting my nails a nice cheerful colour because its been so cold lately! I decided on a Pinky colour called 'Love' by Boots 17. I really like this colour it goes on easily and it dries really fast.

My nails have also grown longer so I've filed them into a square shape also known as the 'squoval'. This is the strongest nail shape and can be achieved by filing straight across the nail and up the sides once.

What do you think of this colour polish?

Twinke Toes!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you've all had a great weekend and managed to go out and see some fireworks! All the pretty firework sparkles inspired me want to paint my toes a sparkly colour!

I bought this polish from Urban Outfitters in August when I was holidaying in California :) This was the first time I'd used it and I love it! Its called 'Dust'.

(If you don't like feet or pictures of feet look away now! I'm sorry!!!)

I had to do 3 coats in order for full coverage and lots of sparkles. Do you like my sparkly toes? The only problem is, is that it's a bit of a pain to remove the polish but thats the price I'll pay for shiny toes!!

Bargain Beauty Buys

Hey Beauties,

So this weekend I was looking for a cheap red nail polish as mine had sadly dried up :( I found myself in Boots looking at the Natural Collection products and found that they were on offer, and you could buy 3 for £5. So what did I do? I bought 3 products!

I puchased a polish named 'Red Robin' and also picked up a clear one named 'Crystal Clear'.

And I am SO impressed with them! I used the clear as a basecoat before applying 2 coats of red and a further coat of clear as the top coat. The polish went on easily and Ive had it on for 3 days and so far have no chips! It still looks as good as the day it was painted! What a bargain! I want to try more Natural Collection polishes now!

If you were wondering what the 3rd item I purcahsed was then here you are! I decided to get a face powder as I was running low at home. I got the pressed powder in 'Neutral' and I have to say that I'm also really impressed with it! It goes on smoothly and reduces shine! I'm sold! Who needs high end products!!!

Have you tried Naural Collection products? Did you like them as much as me? Let me know!

My Top 10 beauty essentials!

Hey everyone so I thought I'd share with you a few of my beauty essentials and see what you think :)

1) Sudocrem!

Sudocrem is amazing! If you haven't heard of it then you won't know that it's an antiseptic healing cream which can be used all over the body to treat spots, rashes, itching etc. I use it when I have a huuge spot which needs to go asap! Rub a little sudocrem on it before you go to bed and it'll help speed up the healing process so your skin will be back to normal in no time at all! And another great thing about sudocrem is that its purse friendly! So perfect skin can be yours even if your on a budget!

2) Vaseline

Vaseline is an essential beauty item! Ideal for protecting dry, cracked lips and restoring them back to their natural glory! It can also be used on areas of dry skin on the body such as the elbows and knees. Vaseline is also available in several different varieties such as, Cocoa butter, Aloe Vera, Rosy lips, with SPF and the original. Again Vaseline is a bargain at less than £2.

3) Deodorant and Perfume

An absolute essential! Not necessarily a 'beauty' essential but still very important, need i say more! My fave deodorants are by Dove, they keep my smelling fresh all day! Follow it with a spritz of your favourite perfume all over the body.

4) Nail Polish

Nail polish is an instant feel better product. It can brighten your whole outfit and compliment your skin tone. There are so many different colours to choose from at such great prices. I love Barry M polishes if you're on a budget but if you really want to splash out then I'd recommend Jessica polishes. Clear polish is the most essential of them all as even wearing clear can instantly improve the look of your nails and improve their condition. Clear can be used as a base coat before colour, as a top coat over colour for extra shine or on it's own to give the nails a real mirror shine!

5) Dry shampoo

Dry shampoo is an essential for every girl and guy! For those in between washes days to remove excess oil and lift the roots to give hair more body. Possibly one of the best inventions ever made! Dry shampoo is great value for money and also gives the hair a lovely scent! Highly recommended!

6) Moisturiser

An essential for hydrating the skin and protecting it from the sun. There are so many different moisturisers for different skin types so always shop around to find the best one for you! At the moment I love The Body Shops Vitamin E moisture lotion with SPF 15 I use it morning and night. Always mositurise your skin, it gets thirsty too!

7) Cleansing wipes

Ok so not the best product for removing make up as they can upset the PH balance of the skin so cleanser followed by toner is the best method to remove make up BUT after a night out cleansing wipes become an essential, believe me! Always remove your make up and if your short for time use cleansing wipes followed by moisturiser. Its handy to carry them in your bag as they always come in helpful as wet wipes!

8) Fake Tan

Fake tan instantly makes me feel better! Don't go too extreme, a healthy glow is best! I love St. Tropez as it lasts for days and smells lovely too. I mix it with moisturiser so I don't go too dark and look un-natural! St. Tropez can be expensive but it really is the best on the market. Also remember to always apply with a mitt...

9) Concealer

A must have for those who have had late nights and early mornings! Always choose a shade lighter than your foundation to cover dark circles and always pat on using your ring finger as the skin around the eye is very delicate.

10) Last one! Now I need some help here as I can't choose between bronzer or mascara! Bronzer instantly gives a healthy glow and improves your look by miles but so does mascara! Mascara improves the length and thickness of the eyelashes making you look more awake and your eyes more desirable! So which one would you choose? Ok I have to choose.... both!!!

So what are your beauty essentials? What would you add to the list? Please Let me know what products you can't live without!

Accessorize Make Up

Hi everyone sorry it's been a while since my last post but i'm back with a new post about Accessorize make up!

So I only realised a few months ago that Accessorize did make up! and not only is it just make up but it's good quality, affordable make up! I purchased two items one being an eye shadow and the other a nail polish. I loved them so much I thought i'd share them with you!

Illusion Mrged Eeshadow in Molten Copper

This eye shadow is a mix of three golden colours and they are highly pigmented. This eye shadow can be applied straight to the eye or for a more intense and dramatic colour it can be applied wet.

The eye shadow costs £4.50 and is available from Accessorize stores and in Superdrug. The eyeshadow comes in clear plastic packaging and with the Accessorize logo on the front in gold writing. I like the packaging as you can clearly see the eyeshadow, however it would be even nicer if it came in a box like the nail polish below.

The eyeshadow creates a lovely natural look but can be made more intense. I think this tone is suitable for all eye colours. To make the eyeshadow last all day a primer is recommended. Do you like this eye shadow? I think it is a bargain at £4.50 for 3g and I look forward to buying more in the future.

Illusion Nail Polish in Molten Copper

So I was really feeling the gold/bronze theme when I purchased the eyeshadow so I chose a nail polish to match. This nail polish is one of my all time favourites!

It comes in beautiful packaging. I think it always looks so much nicer when make up comes in a box!

So this is what the nail polish looks like with two coats. It is advisable to apply two coats for a better effect and to pro-long the life of the polish a 3rd coat of clear nail polish will help the polish stay on for longer. This nail polish is perfect for partys/special occasions or even everyday use. What do you think of glittery nail polishes?

It costs £4 for 10ml and the polish can last for several days however it is prone to chipping.

There are lots more beautiful shades of Accessorize nail polishes to choose from and these two are on my wish list!

Exotic Brights Nail Polish Coral Flair Exotic Brights Nail Polish Indigo

Exotic brights nail polsih in coral flair and in Indigo.

All of the Accessorize make up comes in lovely packaging and i'm hoping to try out the mascara and lip gloss soon. Have you tried any of the make up from the range? Let me know xxx

Weekend Outfit!

Hey Everyone,

So it's my friends 21st birthday tomorrow and we're hitting the town! I popped into town to get a birthday card and present yesterday and I got distracted by all the lovely dresses in the Warehouse window! I never normally go in there because the clothes are quite expensive even though they are all beautiful!

However I had to have a quick peep! I found this lovely black one shoulderd dress and just had to try it on, and it fitted perfectly so I just had to have it! It was priced at £70 but with student discount it came to £62...

I think i'm going to pair it with some black shoes...... What do you think of this dress? What colour should I paint my nails? Something bright? Help me please!

Orangey lips!

Hi There,

My new favourite lip colour at the moment is orange! Yes orange! And I think it's a colour that anyone can pull off if their feeling daring enough! When I get bored of the red lip I choose orange... here are my favourite orange lip products of the moment....
 1. Revlon Colourburst Lipstick ( Peach 075)

This lipstick glides onto the lips easily and gives a great lasting colour. It leaves my lips feeling moisturised and I know that the colour will last all evening.

I purchased this lipstick from Boots and it retailed at £7.99 which I think is quite a bargain as it's quality is very high end.

If lipstick isn't for you then there are a wide range of orange lipsglosses to try my favourites include:

2. Boots Collection 2000, Love Your Lips Lip Gloss in Honeybunch 4

One of my all time favourite high street brand lipglosses! It gives a good colour to my lips and it smells really fruity (a perfect summer lipgloss!) and the best thing is that it only costs £4.19!

3. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 170 Coral Reef

Another amazing orange lipgloss. However the colour of this lipgloss is much brighter than the Collection 2000 one and the lipgloss is much thicker. The colour lasts for hours however touch ups are definitely needed throughout the day/night.

This lipgloss retails are around £6.99 which is still a really good price for a good quality product.

So tell me do you like the orange lip look? Will you try it?

Perfect Primers

So for those of you who have oily or combination skin you should already know that a primer is a necessity for keeping skin under control and making your foundation stay for longer. You don't have to have oily skin to use a primer, primers work on all skin types to give a flawless finish after applying foundation over the top.

I'd heard a a lot about a new skin primer from Boots 17 range called 'Photo Flawless skin primer' and at £4.99 for 15ml I just had to try it! The reviews i'd read about it were all positive saying how much of a bargain it was and that it gave great results.... however I have to disagree!

The primer comes in black packaging with gold writing which gives it a nice look, it says on the back that it should be worn alone or under foundation. Ive been using this product for a few days now and my skin has been very shiny due to having an oily skin type. I thought that the primer would control this skin- I was wrong! It hasn't made my foundation last longer at all, my foundation seems to be sliding off my skin! Not good at all! But then again what did I expect for £4.99! This product does not work for oily or combination skin however it would be ideal for those with normal or mature skin.

For an oily skin like mine the best primer ive come across is from The Body Shop. This primer is slightly more expensive at £11.00 for 25ml but it really does the job! It keeps my shine under control and keeps my foundation in place all day! I'd be lost without it! I also think this primer is suitable for all skin types and it helps to minimise large pores.

Have you tried these skin primers? What do you think about them?

Metal Mania!

Hi There,

So I'd heard a lot about Coastal Scents make up palette's from some YouTube beauty videos that I recently watched and I really wanted to try it for myself. As Coastal Scents isn't available on the high street I searched online and found that they sell all the different palettes on Amazon.

I chose to order the 88 Metal Mania palette as I could see they were the sort of eye makeup colours that I wear regularly and would get the most use out of. This palette cost £29.49 and arrived around a week or so later and I must say I'm very impressed with this palette!

All the clolours are very pigmented and the quality is excellent. The colours are very wearable and last all evening. What I also really like is that all the eye shadows are in one place and I don't need to buy any more eye shadow for months because I have plenty!

The palette comes with two doubled ended applicators which aren't of great quality so it's better to use your own eye shadow brushes.

This is just a quick swatch of some of the colours included in the 88 Metal Mania palette. The camera doesn't really do the colours justice! But the palette includes all the colours you could possibly need such as: creams, golds, bronzes, silvers, purples, greens, pinks, oranges, browns, and blacks. There is however no blue.

Have you tried Coastal Scents? What do you think of this palette?
